Three Q publications has embarked on an ambitious plan to promote the DVD “Revolution: Why It’s Necessary, Why It’s Possible, What It’s All About.” This historic talk delivered by Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA in 2003 is a wide-ranging revolutionary journey that breaks down the very nature of the society we live in and how humanity has come to a time where a radically different society is possible. Bob Avakian speaks with heart and soul and humor and seriousness about critical questions facing all of us living on the planet today. There is no other speaker and revolutionary leader like this on the political scene today and there is nothing else like this DVD. Many, many thousands of people need to see it, to own it, to show it, and to spread it to everyone they know—right now.
Funds are urgently needed for promotional efforts to make this possible. Plans for national advertising are being developed and will include radio, print, and internet. National marketing plans are targeting video, record and book stores, as well as libraries and schools. The DVD includes a Spanish language track, and major efforts will be made to reach the Spanish-speaking community. These major promotional projects will help the broad-based efforts to get the word out, including street promotion teams that are being formed in several major cities, and hundreds of thousands of postcards and posters which will be distributed at major concerts and youth culture scenes around the country. Three Q is developing materials to support a national movement of DVD showings, in venues large and small—from barbershops to high schools and college campuses, from community centers to movie theaters.
All this requires lots of money. Our immediate need is to raise $30,000 in seed money to launch this promotional campaign. Beyond that, how far it reaches depends on the people who support this effort. Please donate generously.
